Yvette Fielding and Diane-Louise Jordan take us behind the scenes of Studio 1 at the BBC Television Centre for #BluePeter.
Loaded was always a much more complicated beast than the clip show narrative had it. Have a listenβ¦
The Transit is the MVP
Mark and Lard at Radio 1
#OnThisDay 1997 : Mark and Lard started their first regular Radio 1 breakfast show. It would run for just 8 months.

Thatβs all good and well until you do shift work, knock off 11pm with colleagues and then canβt find anywhere near a well known broadcasters HQ to even get a quiet pint..
Astonishing story of a DAB radio service having its IP transmission stream hijacked by its own streaming vendor to broadcast obscenities instead of the radio output for *30* mins!
Seemingly, because of a contract dispute between the vendor & another mux provider!

Why wonβt the mainstream media cover the most impactful product category of the last decade
Werenβt the Tories on brink of death in 1997, Labour in 2010, etc..
Not sure they are crazy, perhaps more jaded towards a predominantly anti βanything not right or centreβ media wanting their kill?
Microsoft Outlook just asked me if I was βenjoying itβ. A bit bold for an email client, I feel.
Winter Olympics day 1: male athletes allegedly inflating their penises.
Winter Olympics day 2: a gold medalist named βBreezy Johnsonβ
Just beyond parody at this point
800 words on newspaper economics in a era where no one will pulp a magazine
I supported putting a break in the Circle Line at Edgware Road. But they should've changed its name. With the break it's not a circle. It's wrong and it's still not too late to rename it. If they called it the Marigold Line they wouldn't even need to change the colour on the map.
Very sad to hear of the passing of John Virgo. He never aged for me behind the microphone as the voice of Snooker. An absolute great.
The Virgin Trains (train) looks almost terrorising..
Yes grew up surrounded by them near Longbridge. Iβd really like a K series one!
This year rather than send out Christmas cards Iβve chosen to donate to the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery in London) which a year ago discovered and emergency removing my brain tumour. if you would also like to, here is how:

I recall seeing the parents of some kids at school having one, practically cosmopolitan in 1992 Birmingham!
AI isnβt a catch word for all thatβs bad. Machine Learning happens in all sorts of tools now to improve them.
This is not specialist railway engineering journalism, its fact checking.
Newsrooms have to develop and test verification technology in a world of deepfakes. Itβs sadly needed in this age of potential digital arms races. Ok this is a mundane bridge - I can foresee total recreations of world leaders/trusted faces down the line. Broadcasters need authentication mechanisms.
My point stands.
Itβs gone midnight and they are on a nightshift in a news room, I think this is a little unfair given they were verifying.
Tony #Mammoth, In-vision Continuity-ing like it's 1979.
Not the first time the British public have got it wildly wrongβ¦
I think if I was in the McSweeney job Iβd still have not put it in the manifesto, but I equally know how unequally a lot of the press uphold manifestoβs dependent upon the party, as well as, well, much else. (I canβt recall if Johnsonβs 2019 manifesto made it past 3 pages of A4, v detail light.)
I think to put it simply theyβd have been radically better off without that manifesto pledge. Perhaps it was the same 1997 βno complacencyβ after 1992?
