been spending lots of time on a dumb thing of dubious quality, so here's some context-free stuff
hunger's bite comic page parodying the 'i know what you are.' 'then say it' scene from twilight but the conclusion is 'a homosexual' instead of 'a vampire'
oh i didn't post this here--this was the very first style test i ever did for hunger's bite, featuring what i'd best describe as a proto version of neeta. originally the book was going to be about a pair of twins, and mostly about the boy, but eventually i concluded she made a better protag
been spending lots of time on a dumb thing of dubious quality, so here's some context-free stuff
if you're art blocked in a "I don't wanna ruin my 'good' papers/sketchbook/etc." kind of way, then I suggest you either:
1. completely ruin a page of your sketchbook ON PURPOSE
2. draw something on the shittiest material you have on hand
i hate the way efficiency is talked about in a hustle culture kind of way… for me efficiency is mostly about being able to fit more personal art in the cracks of my day job (draw better/faster = keeping momentum and finishing things! yay)
but that's usually not what those videos are about

i love making comics BUT my one complaint is it takes sooo long to get to the finished thing. especially at the thumbnail stage.
i'm just sitting here going "huehueheh can't wait to read this dumb thing" in front of multiple pages of scribbles which i KNOW are going to take me months to draw.
Hey it's a new year, here's some life advice from me:
- any time you think to yourself "I'd love to do [creative endeavor], but I could never" — just do it. Learn embroidery, write a novel, try doing synchronized swimming, take a ballet class. The worst that could happen is you suck at it.
and by dumb i mean both silly and potentially reveals too much about me lol
in 2026 i will finish the depressing comic (castor and pollux)!! and i will either be able to focus on non-dumb comic ideas OR not chicken out on making and posting the dumb ideas!
