Get them a copy of your favorite book & some stationary. Include in the book a letter that tells them what it means to you & invites them into a 2-person letter-writing book club, making the gift something that builds!

Instead of working on editing my book, I watched my dog chase his tail. I laughed at how easily he was entertained. Then I realized I sat and watched him chase his tail.

I didn’t find this on audible. I’ll be doing a LOT of driving over the holidays and thought it’d be great to listen to on the road. Is it only available in paperback?

I think I might adopt this as my 2025 mantra.

We are currently at 3 but agreed on a maximum of five. This allows us to critique 10k at a time per person and to give each manuscript the time and attention it deserves.

We decided as a group to meet twice a month for two hours. One meeting is for critiques and the other is for general discussion, sharing writing strategies & brainstorming if someone is stuck. Good luck with your group. I find my small group to be very beneficial.

Had a great meeting with my critique group today and can’t wait to sink my hands back into my WIP. But first, wine. 🍷

Name a book you’ve read more than once. It’s been a few years since I read The Girl on the Train, it’s like the first time. There’s a comfort in reading a favourite, knowing it’s a fab read!

John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. It was assigned summer reading for school and has been a permanent fixture on my nightstand for nearly 2 decades. When I can’t sleep, I read it again.
