Thor’s Helmet (NGC 2359) is an emission nebula in the Canis Major region, visible only for a short period during the winter season. It also remains quite low on the horizon, right in the middle of the light-pollution belt. These are nearly 21 hours of integrated exposure. 🔭

Who taught this salamander how to look back at it??
A Caribbean Reef Squid (Sepioteuthis sepioidea) swimming. It is sort of facing the camera, but it is on a slight angle (its mantle is pointing back, to the right and slightly up). Its arms are mostly going down and are curving slightly right and then pointing forward, but its four centre are pointing in slightly different directions. Its two centre most arms are raised up a bit, and the next two arms have their tips pointing outwards. This squid's mantle is a mix of brown and dark brown with some white spots. Its head is a golden yellow colour with some dark brown and green and cyan iridescence around its eyes.
I love how reef squids are just so silly. Silly little guys

A woodland salamander of some kind, I don’t know if it’s an eastern red back without a red back or what. It’s very cute and small with little little hands with three fingers each. It has speckles all over it, and it is sitting in moss peeking out from behind a leaf.
