I don't know how appealing this is to LA voters in general, but this is damn appealing to this LA voter specifically

BREAKING: The US has bombed Tehranβs main refinery and burning oil is now flooding down the streets into the cityβs sewers.
This is a vision from hell, unleashed by the US tonight.

Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and weβre doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs
As Janisse QuiΓ±ones steps away from the LADWP, there is ongoing pressure within the department to privatize. As mayor, I will appoint a leader who will keep our water and power systems a robust and effective public utility.
Its official... RAE HUANG IS ON THE BALLOT! [Image of Rae Huang]
We are officially on the ballot.
Our campaign will continue to fight for the Angelenos who are the cornerstone of our diverse and radiant city.
Election Day is on June 2, 2026. See you at the polls π
If you want someone who actually will divest from LAPD, the answer is Rae Huang. Not Nithya.
Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
Meanwhile, Americans continue to struggle to make ends meet while our tax dollars support the destruction of homes and the displacement of people on the other side of the world.
Enough is enough. NO war on Iran!
Every day,Β we wake up to more heartbreaking news about stealth attacks conducted by the United States in other parts of the world, in the name of protecting Israel. We know these attacks are supported by OUR tax dollars.
I was there! Such a lovely event and great campaign vibes
The Trump regime claims that if we get immigrants out of subsidized housing, those units will go to help solve our housing crisis. This isnβt true, but the words are in the right order to make people who should know better take them at face value.

We need more housing across Los Angeles. As mayor, I will faithfully implement SB79βs community protections while ensuring we are increasing our housing supply.
Every Angeleno deserves a safe and affordable home, and SB79 is one of the many pathways that will make this a reality.

I'm asking that we all raise our political expectations. We deserve good things.

It was so inspiring to be together with fellow Angelenos who are fighting for the livelihood and dignity of working families. We have enough wealth in our state for everyone to thrive. Itβs time we share that wealth.
I'm fully endorsing SEIU-UHW's Billionaire Tax for California. Tax the Rich!
Listened in on a few of the earlier meetings & whole process is a bit overwhelming
Surprised weβre not seeing more advocacy around charter reform but thanks @controller.lacity.gov & @raeforla.com for the few pieces of advocacy Iβve seen
If youβre in LA, we should all really be paying attention

The devastating floods citywide this week highlight the need for local government to focus on what matters. When street infrastructure upgrades are blocked and killed by a mayor and city council that answer to a NIMBY real estate lobby and not people, we all pay the price.
