It weirdly does feel like it's a recreating a game in real life to them. Like taking over the map in a 4X, or completing the quest line to bring about the 2nd coming.

Very funny to me, also, that "The Arsenal of Freedom" is the name of an episode in Star Trek TNG where autonomous AI weapons killed an entire civilization and there's a sales hologram still on the planet trying to sell them. it was originally a commentary in the sale of F-14 Tomcats to Iran(!)
It's a small venue in Seattle so it was dirt cheap tickets. If we want to sit down, that's where the price goes up!!
But to each their own. Retail therapy works too.
