A new targeted drug called HS-20093 shrank tumours in just over 1/2 of people in the ARTEMIS-001 trial with extensive-stage small cell #lungcancer.
Still early, but this is another sign that new treatment options may finally be starting to open up in SCLC. #LCSM

Lung cancer is the biggest cancer killer of women in Europe yet is rarely recognised as a women’s health issue.
More women are being diagnosed across Europe, & in some countries deaths are still rising.
When we talk about women’s health, #lungcancer must be included.

Family history in #lungcancer is often misunderstood.
A 🆕 multicentre study in Lung Cancer found ~16% of people with NSCLC had enriched familial cancer patterns using a structured scoring system.
Not proof of inheritance but a signal for possible genetic counselling.

How AI slop is causing a crisis in computer science
Preprint repositories and conference organizers are having to counter a tide of ‘AI slop’ submissions.
AI in research is moving fast. This piece in Nature looks at the rise of low-quality, AI-generated subs & the strain put on peer review systems.
