Singing Cricket: "❤️!" Kayra: "❤️!" 3: They each hold their gifts and look at them, disappointed or puzzled. The heart drips blood all over Singing Cricket's hands. Singing Cricket: "?" Kayra: "?" 4: The pair of them sit on the couch, watching the bugs perform a miniature production of Romeo and Juliet on the coffee table. Tamilda, with a sword strapped to her back, holds the frog in her hands. Eyes closed, she gives it a kiss, with a big SMOOCH in the background. 3. Tamilda recoils from a big POOF of smoke. 4. A muscular prince, with curly hair, a pencil moustache, a crown, and a long nose, looks at his hands in delighted astonishment. Prince: "Ye gods - I'm human! With TRUE LOVE'S KISS, my curse of these two hundred years is broken at last!" 5. The prince, who is clad only in crown and boxer shorts with a crown pattern on them, takes Tamilda's hand in both of his and gets down on one knee in the swampy water, among the reeds cattails. Tamilda grins awkwardly and looks away from him. Prince: "And by such a fair maid! My love, I thiank thee for freeing me with thy sweet kiss. But let us tarry not, lest the witch of these woods discover us! Come, we must make haste to my castle, where we shall be wed anon!" Tamilda: "Riiight... And where in the woods EXACTLY would that nasty old witch be found?" Prince: "The hags dwell just over yon hillside. But worry not, my beloved! Our path shall not cross those wyrd sisters." 6. With a smile, Tamilda sprints off in the direction of the forested hill. The prince, confused and distraught, reaches for her. A little frog on a nearby lily pad turns to watch. Tamilda: "Thanks! We were supposed to meet this morning, and I'm SUPER late. I'd swear the trees here change the paths for fun. I hope I haven't missed dinner!" Prince: "But - fair maid --" Tamilda: "Have fun being human!" 7. The prince watches sadly as Tamilda disappears into the hills. Prince: "But... My one true love..." 8. The prince crouches in the swamp and dips his finger into the water, his eyes downcast. The frog looks at him. Prince: "Sigh... It was nice, being a frog."

I just woke up from a nap and somehow while I was asleep, everyone on the bus has figured out we are not going to the right place

I agree - the finger says, "Fuck you!" Which provokes an automatic reaction: "Fuck me? No, fuck YOU!"
Whereas the thumbs down communicates, "I am disappointed in you." Tonwhih the response is more, "Wait, what did I do wrong?" Perhaps promoting a little self-reflection.

The character depicted here is based on a real guy who regularly posts kind, thoughtful comments on new posts in r/comics, and bizarrely quickly. He really is a firefighter and EMT.

1. A man sits in a casual pose in an office chair, wearing heavy boots, a red t-shirt, and suspenders on hi-vis pants. Behind him on a hook are a firefighter's coat and helmet. A large alert light is on the wall. Nearby is a desk with a laptop open to a blurry website (Reddit). Under the desk, a black cat sticks its tongue out. The man speaks: "Yeah, I'm a first responder. I see all kinds of stuff out there." 2. The light starts flashing, and a loud BEEP BEEP alerts the man to an emergency. He looks up at the light, a worried look on his face. "Whoops! Speaking of which..." 3. A close-up of the man's laptop, his fingers poised over the keyboard. I love how localized the puns are. You can make a pretty good guess at where people are from by the names they call the characters.

1. A girl and a boy, who look quite a bit like Momo and Okarun from Dan da Dan, stand under a sprig of holly. Girl puckers get lips and clasps her hands: "Look - we're under the mistletoe!" Boy looks at the decoration and adjusts his glasses with a "Hmm..." 2. Boy pulls out a sprig of mistletoe and takes a professorial stance while the girl looks at him, dumbfounded. Boy: "Actually, mistletoe has white berries. And smaller leaves. That's holly. It's a common error." 3. Girl angrily swipes the mistletoe away from the boy: "Give me that!" 4. She turns around and holds the mistletoe over her butt, sticking her tongue out at the embarrassed boy, a visual representation of the rebuke, "Kiss my ass."

He and Kayra open the door, clearly in the middle of something, judging by Kayra's sexy Santa outfit and drink, and Singing Cricket's lack of a shirt. Kayra: "Oh! The house didn't eat you. Hello!" Amanada: "Uh, hi! We think this belongs to you?" Singing Cricket: "Ooh!" 2. Kayra leads the girls inside while Singing Cricket opens his package. A tag falls off: "From Granny". Amanda looks around at the strange signs in the house. Kayra: "You brought my husband a present! How sweet." Danna: "It was just misdelivered." 3. In the background, Singing Cricket is attacked by the present -- it's a mimic. Amanda watches with interest. Kayra digs around in a chest, bending over. Danna watches with interest. Singing Cricket: "Aargh! Not again!" Kayra: "Even so, you deserve something too!" 4. Kayra offers the girls a large, shining jewel. The girls reach out to touch it. Kayra: "I found a pile of these behind the house." Amanda: "Ooh!" Kayra: "Take it. We have lots!" 5. The girls leave. Amanda waves goodbye at Kayra, who stands at the door and waves back. Singing Cricket continues wrestling with the mimic. The girls are both holding the jewel, their hands touching. Amanda: "Bye! Thank you!" Danna: "It's sticky." 6. Close-up on the girls' hands, and the jewel. They are nearly holding hands, with the jewel between. An eye opens on the jewel, looking up at Danna. Danna: "Amanda, I don't think I can let go." Amanda: "That's all right."
