Was a big Pavement fan and I remember being really disappointed with this album so find it a bit weird as well. Name recognition goes a long way.

Sometimes it's good to be reassured that being bummed out is an entirely rational thing :)

Melancholia is a great film for best album voters because it's basically "what if you were right to be depressed all along"
