We are proud to stand with Virginiaβs working families. The time to advance progress and act for Virginiaβs working families is NOW. If youβre with us, join us in the streets of Richmond on Feb. 17: feb17march.carrd.co (4/4)
Prices are rising, and the economy is unpredictable. We need stability and safety in our communities. We need affordable housing and quality public education. We need voting rights for all and protections for labor unions. These priorities put #PeopleOverProfits. (3/4)
It is working people who power Virginia. Not politicians. Not corporations. And definitely not billionaires. Elected officials must refocus on serving their constituents. (2/4)
On Monday, Feb. 17, New Virginia Majority is taking to the streets in a March for Working Families. We are marching alongside a coalition of unions and community organizations from all over Virginia. Our demand is simple: Put #PeopleOverProfits. (1/4)
Thank you for boosting! π§‘
"Harrisonburg and Lynchburg are already seeing success with restorative practices, said Chlo'e Edwards, policy director for New Virginia Majority, part of the Fund Our Schools coalition."
Let's bring lasting reform to our public schools!
MAJOR GA session update! 3 key constitutional amendments have made it through the House and Senate. Here's the full rundown:
We're thrilled to see a $15 minimum wage continue through the House! With costs rising on everything from food to housing, Virginia families cannot survive on $12.41 an hour.
This is a critical step forward in ensuring the voting rights of ALL Virginians. Though this fight is not yet over, we are greatly encouraged by today's House vote to pass a rights restoration amendment!
Housing is a human right! We are proud to be a part of the Richmond Housing Justice Collective and support this urgent demand for rent relief.
