Freaky Friday the 13th! This was my drive home after seeing #TheWiz tonight in #Cincinnati. INCREDIBLE touring cast in this production, by the way! 🚒🚨🔥 Alleged tanker fire on I471 in Newport, as we are bombing the world. Amazing. Hoping the driver and anyone else involve survived. #Kentucky

Let there be as much outrage from politicians in Washington when kids go hungry as there is when I break bread with New Yorkers.
In cases you were wondering . . . this is a photo that annoyed Pete Hegseth so much because he thought it was "unflattering" so he got the photographer barred. I encourage all of you to use it as often as possible.
Mitch McConnell was elected in 1984, almost FOUR YEARS before I was born. Term limits, folx!
WATCH — @jamestalarico.bsky.social : “Every dollar we spend bombing people in the Middle East is one we’re not spending here at home. We’re always told we don’t have enough money for schools or healthcare or for veterans, but there’s always enough to bomb people on the other side of the world.”

TAPPER: You know that if you vote against an additional $50 billion of funding for operations in Iran, that vote will be cast as you voting against the troops.
CHRIS MURPHY: Come on. The American people do not want this war. If you support the troops, you should be voting against this war.
Hello, gorgeous! ☺️
Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin will replace Kristi Noem as DHS secretary at the end of the month.
Mullin has vigorously supported the SAVE America Act, spread misinformation about the 2020 election results and defended the ICE agent who fatally shot a Minneapolis woman in January.

Congrats, @sarahlongwell25.bsky.social — looking forward to reading this in the fall!
Hey, peeps! I hope you’ll consider pre-ordering the latest from @sarahlongwell25.bsky.social from @thebulwark.com! "The playbook for building a pro-democracy coalition big enough, bold enough, and tough enough to defeat authoritarian

I need WAY more folx to show their work and cite their sources. Critical {media} literacy, it turns out, is important. We’re all responsible for what we create, consume, and share.
The boycott of OpenAI(ChatGPT) has now surpassed 4 million. We’re also seeing many small businesses (and even some mid-sized companies) cancel their subscriptions. One of the most amazing things over the past year has been watching consumers remind big corporations just how much power they have.
So far the war in Iran has cost an estimated $5.5 billion.
That's roughly $1 billion per day.
$41,666,667 per hour.
$11,574 per second.
People do not want this.
They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.
The video of a United States Senator joining the violent removal of U.S. marine from a hearing and hideously breaking his arm in a door is an example of what has been unleashed in this country. They’re tapping in to get in on the violence.
And then he bragged about it on X later.
Screenshot of a direct message to a friend, under a video of a U.S. Marine protesting, being assaulted, and having his hand broken while being thrown out.
This video affected me enough to finally set this boundary with a queer high school friend and libertarian/conservative. ENOUGH.
Y’all, I’m a pacifist. I respect the sacrifice that many have made and continue making, yet I DO NOT support war and the military industrial complex. Our decision makers have made us all complicit. No one deserves to be treated like this, especially a veteran. 💔

The moon going from full moon to a red moon and starting to go back to a normal full moon, then my camera battery door fell off.
Here's my first edit on the March 3rd Lunar Eclipse. 15 moon shots, 1 foreground. Taken over a 3 hourish period.
Just a random reminder that over 50 members of Congress collectively own millions of dollars in defense contractor stocks.
They stand to personally profit from wars that enrich these contractors.
Make no mistake, this is legalized corruption.
Watch how they vote this week.
