ÖB har förstås helt rätt här. Ryssland bryr sig inte om att några miljoner europeer dör. Det enda som hindrar Ryssland att använda kärnvapen är hotet om vedergällning. Därmed är terrorbalansen vital. Om vi inte kan lita på att USA upprätthåller den måste vi göra det själva.

The wrong kind of people with a gun, a group and a belief they are above the law is about as dangerous as it gets. We've seen it plenty of times in Ukraine recently, and from my outside perspective it appears to be exactly the case in Minnesota as well. There must be accountability.

Very noticeable that this was written by an American with an American view. Europe has differed quite a lot on battlefield readiness, and some spent more (per capita) than the US on defence. And Putin rather than Trump has driven the willingness to increase spending.
Still the main focus. This is just another front against the vassal in Washington.

Mer än väl. Hos oss löste kommunen det genom att bygga ett P-hus några hundra meter bort, för 120 kkr per 0,8 P-plats. Det ägs av kommunen och det kostar 100 kr/dygn att stå där, oavsett om man bor i området eller ej. Så alla står på privat grusplan på närmare håll, som kostar 10 kr/dygn.
It's a bitter pill certainly, especially (potentially) having to fight the US instead of Russia. But if we don't, what deterrence credibility will remain for Europe and NATO, and what will be the consequences of that?
