My baby brother turned forty recently, so I drew him a card featuring the characters that have had the biggest impact on his life and personality. I struggled a bit with some of the likenesses, but I'm broadly happy with it. Have fun guessing them all!

I was thinking recently how the digital comics I occasionally buy direct from self-publishing creators have become like the comics of my childhood. Not so much disposable but still ephemeral. Read once and then forgotten, lost to various device changes or in forgotten download folders. Very retro.

I’m not surprised. We went through this process last year and while it’s great it is crazy expensive even with the heat pump / solar grant and it’s not certain that you will get the grant when doing the work. Policy needs to include low cost long term finance so people can afford this.

An case of manipulative design. A while back they changed the stations, making the collecting baskets smaller, harder to reach, so you almost have to toss the coins. A kerb stops you getting closer. The change hatch is also awkward, and the barrier goes up before the coins drop, urging you on. 1/2
