@robin.berjon.com @nicolashenin.net Is it possible to create an account? There are a few unlabelled buttons on that page, so it's possible I'm just missing the nescessary info. Thanks.

An image of a terminal on a Mac, with an orange prompt reading "heypresents", running the command "cat leonie-watson.md | glow". This in turn renders the outputted Markdown file in the terminal, reading:

Léonie Watson

Léonie is co-Founder and Director of TetraLogical; Chair of the W3C Board of Directors, and co-Chair of the W3C Web Applications Working Group.

Do Androids Dream of Accessible Webs?

The web is shifting from something we use to something that acts on our behalf. Agentic AI promises systems that read, decide, negotiate, and optimise for us, but when algorithms become our representative, a deeper question arises: who is it actually representing?

This talk explores where agents fracture first, and what that reveals about whether they are built to serve people, or merely optimise for statistical averages.

@cackhanded.net @smolrobots.bsky.social Yet, AI is making a huge difference for people with disabilities whose preferences are routinely ignored, dismissed, or postponed; people who experience sub-optimal service and have to choose between imperfect options every single day.

Accessibility and the agentic web - TetraLogical Imagine being in a department store that sells clothes from multiple brands and having a personal shopping assistant to help you select the clothes you want to buy. As a blind person, that's about the only way it's possible to go clothes shopping, independently at least, but few stores offer such a service, so you resort to shopping online.

AI shopping assistants now pick sizes and fill carts for you.

WebExpo 2023 speaker @tink.uk asked a bold question. If agents browse for us, what even is the web now?

She zoomed in on what this means for accessibility and why the next UX challenge may involve non-human users.

Retail sites often fail blind shoppers. Could agentic AI fill the gap?

Tools like Innosearch can find products, describe images, and add items to your basket.
