CSP's and before that, Paint Tool Sai's 3-point perspective tools really made the process fun for me. I have never enjoyed setting up grids. But without that hassle I love the work.

Well said. It's a pretty city that's in some ways a facade for how horrible it all is beneath.

It's funny, because the fade was the last thing I added and was kinda the missing piece for me. Everything felt off until I airbrushed in the buildings fading away into the smoggy night sky.

So I actually painted out the entire Night City background behind the daemon. I wasn't sure how much of it I was going to cover up originally.

But I also wanted to just draw out a cityscape for practice. Mostly based off an actual screen I took from Cyberpunk.

I can speak on the subject of swallows and throat bulges grinding under collarbones for hours.

I won't.

Hmmm, I might like collarbones too considering how much I tend to focus on them. It's just that point of no return. 🤤

I learned a lot working on this. The background itself has a lot of elements that seem complicated but were fairly "easy" to set up. Once I had my multiple 3-point-perspective grids set up it all came together by just following their guidelines. Just time intensive.

Please wait for the lump to settle below the collarbone before fainting please ~

There is a real lack of sea food in Night City.

Unless one can figure out how to manifest as a glowing hologram and start slurping down the holographic koi.

Been using Photoshop casually for like uhhhhh... 24 years now? (And several years "professionally").

Most of the effects are simple masks and a blur layer with a bunch of Linear Add effects placed atop them. Mostly just soft airbrushing in the red glow and a linear blur layer to give it the ghosting effect around the edges.

Likely thinking of Bladerunner 2049.

I used plenty of references in order to make it all come together. No way I could just freehand doodle this.

Took me a bit to sorta figure out how I was gonna do it. Discovered that using an offset motion blur layer gives a shimmery, ghosting effect that I liked.
