Sunday Morning.
Saint Oswalds in Grassmere.
Oswald, the King of Northumbria, visited in the 7th century.

Known for the Wordsworth graves, daffodils, and the little gingerbread shop.

Yes, it's a bit of a crossroads there.

Two years ago today. Lunch spot near Grinds Brook - with Win Hill and Lose Hill on the horizon. #Walking #PeakDistrict

On my shopping list.
You had a helpful sign to let you know what you could have seen!

Think they do the market once a month. But the cafe is quite nice anyway at other times.
First time at Campfield #Manchester when the market is on. Excellent sound system adding to the relaxed vibe.
It was probably the most unexpected best exhibition I've been to. I knew nothing of the artist before attending.
A tall tree with a few remaining leaves beside a narrow country road, under a grey, overcast sky. Photographed through the windscreen while driving.

Flesh would come with an adult content warning if it was on TV.
Now I have to remember who I loaned Mockingbird to...
Christmas reads.
Harper Lee - short stories that I enjoyed, but mainly made me want to reread To Kill a Mockingbird.
Flesh by David Szalay - I read this really quickly, which is a good sign. It is a reflective and thought-provoking read that is often bleak / sad. #BookSky #Books ππ
Christmas reads.
Mick Herron and Richard Osman - good - just as you would expect.
The second Full Moon Coffee Shop - OK, but not as good as the first one.
Patricia Lockwood - Odd - still not sure what I read.

A little trip to the cafe at Gorton Monastry. #Manchester
"The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool."
Think this pretty much sums up now.
William Shakespeare in 1600, a description of a distopian future better than Orwell or Bradbury?

Black-and-white view of Top Withens ruins on the Yorkshire moors, a lone tree beside stone walls, associated with Emily BrontΓ«βs Wuthering Heights.
Thick trunks in a landscape that inspired Wuthering Heights.

A mighty fine Guinness in there.
Both good books!
