We ordered from her instead of friends' kids to reward her hustle (kids are soft these days selling through their parents! I had to go door to door and build character, dangnabit!)
Oddly enough if she WAS just punking us, I think I admire her hustle even more? Like, that's clever and takes guts.

We put in a giant order for GS cookies from a kid who showed up at out door months ago. But now cookies are everywhere, and this kid hasn't returned. We don't know who she is, and we've bought no other cookies. She didn't ask for payment so we're not scammed, but... was this kid just punking us?

For non-local news: I use Ground News (paid) and 1440 (free) for my quick neutralish overviews, pay The Atlantic, NYT, and ProPublica for deep dives and real reporting, and read What a Day (free) for Left-biased political coverage.

I'm of course very biased. But yeah, I think it's pretty good. Better-written than my Skeets, if nothing else.

Definitely the Twilight movies. Dumbest films ever for many, many reasons. But dang if Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Anna Kendrick didn't go on to prove their acting chops later. Plus Michael Sheen and Graham Greene?!

Hope the Daring Fox (Hope the Little Fox Book 2)
Amazon.com: Hope the Daring Fox (Hope the Little Fox Book 2) eBook : Ozols, E.: Kindle Store
I always feel a little weird pushing my own books, but if you're interested in adventure on the high seas with a female protagonist, Hope the Daring Fox fits the bill.
(You need to read Hope the Little Fox first, which is also great. But nobody gets on ships until book 2.)

Naw. Cuz "wintry mix" is enough to use as an excuse to get out of stuff, or even for OPM to allow telework, delays, and early dismissals.
Cold Rain doesn't get us out of shit.

Brittany was pretty delusional and I'm surprised we didn't seem to get more growth from her. But the part with her dad was shockingly impactful and deep for trash TV.

I was surprised that the Chris content was one of the most boring parts (more boring than Socks In Bed.) The man is a psychopath and just gave up no reactions to work with. Amber bashing him was fantastic, though.

Alexandrians will liveskeet and stay up late for a freakin' meeting about 3 blocks worth of bike lanes, but only TWO of you will get excited for the promise of TRUE LOVE on the tv?! Where are your priorities, people?!

I know it's cliche to complain about this, but daylight savings time is bullshit. Why/how are we expected to all simultaneously and instantly adjust? Why is there no gradual adjustment period?
Signed,
Someone who fell asleep on the metro and missed her stop (after sleeping through her alarm earlier)

So apparently the weird noodle-arm situation I've got going on the past month is thanks to "Golfer's Elbow." An injury I received not while golfing (something I've never done,) but from
BREAKING UP SNOWCRETE with a claw hammer in January.
Sigh. If only I'd had a mattock.

I'm gonna go ahead and heavily NIMBY on this one.

Uh oh. On a scale where "Fantasy Plot" is on the left and "Romance Plot" is on the right, where would you put CC? And for control purposes, where would you put the various ACOTAR books?
(I know you've explained this to me before, but I forgot. My apologies, Sensei.)

I suspect that's not only because of the introduction of the AI overview, but also because the most relevant links are no longer at the top of the list. By the time people scroll past the AI overview AND all the endless sponsored content, their (ahem, our) attention spans are expended.
