ID isn’t crazy. But fairness is a condition of democracy. If government makes eligibility contingent on paperwork, then it must deliver it at no cost—fee waivers, staffing, mobile units for rural communities, and clear outreach. Without that, you’re not securing elections—you’re gating them.
