Two things here.
One, you don't sit there and whine about media coverage and headlines if things are going well.
Two, the administration is just outright saying that they fully expect Ellison to use CNN to be a Trumpist propaganda organ.
In the last two days, Iran struck:
- Oil tankers in Iraq, killing an Indian crew member
- A French base in Iraq, killing French soldiers
- An oil depot in Oman
- Fuel tanks in Bahrain
- Buildings in Dubai hit by missile debris
- A Thai cargo ship
- Various Israeli targets
If it costs 300 million Americans more to go about their daily lives, but 250 thousand already-rich oil executives and investors get to experience another boom—this is good for the economy.
Eh, why should we research Alzheimer's, diabetes, cancer, and heart disease? It's not like these issues could ever possibly affect me, personally, because I, like every Republican, have no conception of time, probability, or cause and effect, I exist in a void filled solely by malicious urges.
The Colorado River will deliver less than a third of normal water flow this summer. And, Rocky Mountain ski season has been disastrously bad this year.
My parents have been subscribers to the Washington Post for 35 years. I don’t see why they would continue at this point, but I wouldn’t encourage them to subscribe to the New York Times either, so the alternative is… nothing? It’s nothing.

I am generally a (very) critical person when it comes to legacy news media. Having said that, what is otherwise one of their worst qualities—their oppositional defiance disorder in the face of criticism—is likely gonna kick in hard in response to this threat & make them push Iran coverage even more

I cannot adequately explain how fucked up the World Cup situation is wihen the president of a host nation *threatens the safety* of one of the participants (Iran).
The USA should be removed as a host nation and if it's not, the games shoud be boycotted and ANYONE WITH A MORAL CENTER should see that.
