Adding Dragonfly Shipping to the βworst fucking delivery companies in the Netherlandsβ list.
My package could not be delivered to my personal residential address because βhet bedrijf was geslotenβ (the company was closed).
At 3:56pm. When I was reading a book about 4 meters from the front door.
People all over the internet were talking about the #SpacetimeDB video and I've only just got round to watching it and... Oh. Wow. That's, er... something. Again, wow.
Leadership: "AI is so good it writes almost all our code"
Status dashboard:
I wouldn't say idiots, just... my level of curiosity is higher than my level of common sense π
28 cartons of "Albert Heijn"-branded apple juice, neatly stacked.
There is absolutely no shame in boxed, store-brand apple juice - especially if you're making cider! Happy experimenting!
That looks too orange for wort. Cider? And from the temperature, your making ice cider?
... for legal reasons it's definitely ice wine and not applejacking π
UPS is the fucking worst. Package cannot be delivered because "The company or receiver name is incorrect."
How do you know my name is incorrect if you won't attempt delivery, assholes?
Is there enough interest in another Conqueror team? Because (1) I love Conqueror challenges, and (2) you need an opposing team to race against!
I will never understand why `--locked` is an opt-in flag for `cargo install`.
Libraries? Sure, I understand.
But for a binary? The decision to ignore the root Cargo.lock by default was a stupid one.
What's a good alternative to the #Kindle store, now that Amazon have stopped the ability to download purchased books, and I'm unable to read any books I purchase on my non-Amazon e-reader?
Error in Client.php line 71: Cloudflare is being a dick, and has determined your requests are not "legitimate".
Sometimes you write cool code you're super proud of!
... but you can't test it because @cloudflare.social has decided your requests are shit βΉοΈ
Yes, I'm aware 525 error means "host server SSL handshake" but works in Firefox perfectly fine and this is blatant discrimination against script kiddies
nom has always been my favourite #rust crate, and v8 has landed! π₯³ Really looking forward to digging into it unhandledexpression.com/nom-8/
#YouTube just enabled native triple-speed playback, and itβs awesome π₯³
(only on the iPad app so far, but hopefully an update will push it to other platforms soon)
Including stickers in the #emoji keyboard is one of the most infuriating design decisions #Apple have made in recent years. I despise it.
It absolutely has to be B (no pun intended) because think about how it would look if "Great Nun Migration" started trending on Bluesky and everyone who wasn't aware of the context read it as the title of a international news article π€―π
A big toblerone, a bottle of gin, and heavenly tyrant downloaded to my Kindle.
Iβm ready for Christmas tomorrow π
Project Hail Mary and The Martian are some of the best books Iβve ever read. I wish I could read them for the first time again.
I listened to the audiobook of βKaiju Preservation Societyβ on a 13-hour flight recently. Had me ugly-laughing in places that got me a few side eyes. Worth it.
Wrote it again in #Regex.
Took less than 20 minutes to do.
Then I spent another 10 minutes being annoyed that it was only 3 times slower (1Β½ms).
At least those HOURS WASTED were a learning experience π
#AdventOfCode
It may have taken me hours and hours longer than doing it with #regex (which doesn't deserve the hate btw)...
But #AdventOfCode Day 3 is complete and runs in 430Β΅s!
This year is all about writing fast parser combinators πͺ
Some days you'll have to write additional unit tests because your part 2 answer is somehow wrong.
Then you'll end up with 20 (passing!) unit tests and you still have the wrong answer.
It's day two, people! This is a massive hit to my ego π
#adventofcode
I finished reading it today. I mean I already knew it was going to be good because Iβve got the original downloaded. But still! Congrats on an awesome book release! It was really fun to read again β¨
It's #AdventOfCode time!

Right? There were 3 encyclopaedias of world-building in half an episode!
Hereβs hoping it makes more sense on a rewatch π€
My take on #Arcane:
Season 1: okay those are the good guys, those are the bad guys, and those are the morally ambiguous guys. Classic.
Season 2: what the fuck is going on? Where did they come from? Did I miss a piece of lore? What the fuck is THAT?
