Obama has a 60 seat Senate Majority and a +70 House seat majority.

Despite that he passed nearly nothing. He caved on his biggest progressive policies and then bailed out the Bankers.

Republicans can reshape our society w/ 50%+1. Democrats can't do anything w/ supermajorities.

If Joe Neguse challenges Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker, we will rename Lafayette, Colorado to Neguse, Colorado.

If Trump’s Iran war supercharges Democratic turnout while parts of his coalition stay home, you could see a 2006-style wave

Seats like Alaska, Montana, Iowa, Ohio, and even Texas could flip.

Add likely pickups in Maine and North Carolina while holding Georgia and Michigan.

Even in a mega-blue-wave year, Colorado Democrats probably don't have a chance to flip CO-4 and defeat Lauren Boebert.

But I'm really glad it's become a humorous B Plot in Colorado Politics seeing everyone fight over the primary nomination.

Anyone talking about Colorado Democrats β€œimpeaching” Jared Polis over the Tina Peters issue has no idea how Colorado politics works

You couldn’t get even 1 Dem legislator to say this, let alone file it

IMO, if we're trading Tina Peters anyway let's ask for $100 Billion

You are NOT mean enough to corporate politicians

No one forced them to choose this self-centered, ambitious career path. They are supposed to be public servants.

Ignore their titles. Bash them online. We owe them nothing. They owe us everything.

also-- not about CDP's statement. This is for all the elected officials who are putting out statements and posts. Spare me with this fake outrage

Also re: Colorado PiΓ±ata-gate

Many elected officials are clutching pearls calling a piΓ±ata β€œviolence.” These SAME officials said NOTHING when Rep. Elisabeth Epps was constantly attacked by her colleagues.

Give me a break. If you were silent then but outraged now, shut up.

Phil Weiser helped prosecute Tina Peters and sued Trump 56 times.

Michael Bennet voted for Trump's Cabinet 8x more than other Democrats.

Bennet would probably also free Tina Peters in this situation because he is accustomed to bending the knee to Trump.

Weiser? He would fight

PSA: If you don’t want a Colorado Governor who bows to Trump and gives clemency to election deniers like Tina Peters.

Phil Weiser has sued Trump 56 times and won most.

Michael Bennet voted for Trump’s cabinet 8x more than other Democrats.

Let’s not make that mistake again.

To be clear, I’m not blaming Shad. As party chair, he has to respond to every little controversy people flood him with.

In this case, a wave of mostly white tears forced a statement.

It’s silly. A piΓ±ata is a piΓ±ata.

To the white folks in Colorado suddenly outraged about piΓ±atas:

I just found out that Dora the Explorer, Selena, and Frida Kahlo are among the three best-selling piΓ±atas out there! OH THE HORROR. Please save us!

Seriously, everyone stfu. Grow up and use your brains.

Shannon Bird has long pushed hawkish rhetoric on Iran and posted things that give cover to the Republican war machine.

I mean it in my bones: she’s the worst Democrat in Colorado. Pro war. Pro ICE. Pro private prisons. Anti union.

Defeating her in June must be the #1 goal.

If Bennet wins it's because Out-Of-State Billionaires spent $10 MILLION+++ to buy him the seat.

In an election without Super PACs, Weiser would beat Bennet by 15% or more.

Bennet is only a Senator b/c he's bought and sold by Oligarchs.

The Colorado Assembly MUST pass a bill THIS YEAR that would prevent Michael Bennet's potential to pick his own replacement.

(well, hopefully Bennet loses anyways, but in case he doesn't...)

Here’s the lesson from Graham Platner: Your past mistakes do NOT define you if you apologize & move on.

Voters overlook past mistakes all the time. What matters is policy & whether ppl believe you’ll fight for them.

In 2026, there’s no such thing as a political scandal.

Bennet really thinks he can win Governor by cashing in name ID and waiting for his out of state billionaire friends to buy the seat.

Meanwhile Phil is out working him everywhere.

If Bennet wins, it proves our elections are broken beyond repair. Bennet must be defeated.

NEW
The Vacancy Committee of 39 Democrats just picked former State Rep Adrienne Benavidez to fill a State Senate seat left by Dafna Michaelson Jenet, representing 170,000 residents.

Nearly 1/3 of the legislature is filled by vacancies now.

Only in Colorado!

COLOR (Latina-led reproductive justice org) held a CO-8 townhall. Shannon Bird skipped to do call-time w/ AIPAC donors

Bird also sides ICE over immigrants & Corps over workers

CO politicos: stop backing Bird. In the most Latino district in the state, we see you & will remember

The State of the Union was interesting before we had a President that already says everything he wants to say at all hours of the day.

Like what is even the point. It's not like this dude keeps any thoughts to himself that didn't involve Epstein.

2008 is so long ago in political terms that I'm not sure if anything can be translated to 2026.

When Zohran ran for Mayor, his rally signs said Childcare for All, Fast & Free Buses, and Build Affordable Housing. It wasn’t about him.

Lisa's 3rd mayoral run? Giant AI posters of her own face & no substance.

If Denver progressives can’t see this vanity project for what it is, we’ve lost the plot

James Talarico would be to the LEFT of these current Democratic Senators from SAFER seats:

Michael Bennet (CO)
John Hickenlooper (CO)
Gillibrand (NY)
Schumer (NY)
Kaine (VA)
Durbin (IL)
Hassan (NH)
Rosen (NV)
Masto (NV)

And that's just to name the obvious ones.

The funniest part of people calling James Talarico a β€œmoderate” while he runs in deep red Texas?

He’d be considered far left compared to Colorado’s safe blue, corporate-approved statewide Democrats.

Red state courage. Blue state complacency.

It's obvious that the Trump Administration & Epstein class is terrified of Talarico b/c he campaigns against billionaires & is fighting to create a coalition of the bottom vs the top instead of left vs right.

Crockett will be Harris 2.0
We need to move in a new direction.

I can't speak to her experience directly, but as a child of immigrants during law school (as you know) I wanted to be a civil right attorney. However that whole apparatus pushes you towards big law. So I summered at two big law firms and clerked.

Idk, it's the system man. Judge her by her policies
