Just my guess, because it seems silly for them to have developed this hybrid OS and only use it for the one handheld.
I'd be surprised if it didn't run the same hybrid OS that the Rog Xbox Ally X runs, which gives you full windows in the background, which would mean full libraries. Tldr, its basically like SteamOS for the Deck, where it loads only the core software you need in gaming mode and then you can activate
That just makes it fun and playful!

I've been similarly annoyed with Pokemon ZA where the main early notification for a shiny pokemon in your area is audio only. So if you don't have your volume up or have difficulty hearing you might not notice there's a shiny in your area unless you directly look at it
