Someone told me recently they read one of my short stories and had absolutely zero clue what was going on. I enjoyed that they put the work in to get to all the way to the end to still have zero clue.

But, truly, theyโre entirely spot on. Itโs short, the MC is complicated, and there are babies. They did a great job of seeing the book. The reader just didnโt like any of it. Itโs wild.
Got my first two star review on good reads. They didnโt like any of the slow burn, unreliable narrator, parenting dystopia that make the book what it is. I feel like a proud mama!
