Consider: a compile-to-JavaScript language that is JavaScript except typeof 3.14 == "number" and typeof 2 == "bigint".
The culture in JavaScript is due to change since support for bigint (1n) has become pervasive. At Agoric, we use bigints to the exclusion of floats. To that end, JSON needs a rethink. For OCapN, we are promoting a CBOR mapping that covers the JSON model plus bigint and bytes. Also kriskowal.com/yay
