worth remembering, David Lynch directed โfix your hearts or dieโ specifically at transphobes. it wasnโt a generic โno mean people allowedโ statement, it was said by his Twin Peaks character in defense of a trans woman he cared for and deeply respected.

i keep thinking about starting one. there's just a *lot* of skills i know i don't have that are involved in running that sort of thing.
is anyone starting an anti-AI tech consultancy, if so you should contact me
Students have more power than politicians want to admit.
Your rent is here. Your tuition is here. Your vote should be here too.
Early voting in Chicago has already started. Donโt sit this one out.
No, they donโt.
Firstly, theyโre not trained on everything ever, even the criminals in charge of AI companies havenโt managed to steal everything yet.
Secondly, knowledge doesnโt derive from the statistical proximity of word and sentence fragments.
I always ask people who want to build some nonsense:
- how will you know that it worked?
- what can you do if it didn't?
The answer is usually: we won't, and nothing. It never occurs to them that the idea might not be an inevitable success, despite ALL prior experience to the contrary.
Soon: "survey results show most employees already use ai"
i remembered to do it
for reference, skipping across water/lava is only possible when you tap the jump button right as you make contact with its surface. it makes it a somewhat tricky mechanic that could come in handy if there's a long stretch of lava or water in the stage that you want to skip
if you're transitioning does that mean you get a rude tag
Iโve been trying to build this for years. Finally getting there.
Palette analysis like DawnBringer or Censor, but in real time.
I want feedback while picking colors, not after the fact. I think this direct feedback loop makes it much easier to make informed decisions when composing a palette.

Toronto Games Week logo. A row of pawns on a concrete floor, lots of clip art illustrations surrounding them. Text at the bottom says "New to Toronto Games Week? Want to organize your own playful event in Toronto during June 11-17th? Submit your idea at TorontoGamesWeek.com!"
Anyone can run an event at Toronto Games Week!
If you've never done a games event before, we have a special New Events Organizer Program for you to consider! We offer mentorship and a small amount of funding support for the NEO program.

[highlight]The chatbot he used was Chaiโs default personality, named Eliza[end highlight]. It shares a name with the worldโs first chatbot, ELIZA, a natural language processing computer program developed by Joseph Weizenbaum at MIT in 1964. ELIZA responded to humans primarily as a psychotherapist in the Rogerian approach, also known as โperson-centeredโ therapy, where โunconditional positive regardโ is practiced as a core tenet. The researchers working on ELIZA identified from the beginning that their chatbot posed an interesting problem for the humans talking to them. โELIZA shows, if nothing else, how easy it is to create and maintain the illusion of understanding, hence perhaps of judgment deserving of credibility,โ Weizenbaum wrote in his 1966 paper. โA certain danger lurks there.โ
we have invented ELIZA, from the popular book "don't invent ELIZA"

You cannot judge a model or code you do not understand solely by its outputs. If you don't know why it works, you're not using a model, you're consulting a fortune teller
