I lived kinda similar areas for them, and as a kid there was maybe snow once or twice on hills when I was super young.
The first time seeing snow was a road trip to Washington State and it was all dirty slush really.
My first snow experience of it falling was driving back from BLFC after a storm.

I like the second to left as contrast, and the blue tinge speaks to the water that's there. It's also calming and if you wanted to light candles and relax, dark mood is there as desired.
Okay, you have bright white lights from the looks of it, keep the temperature neutral like you have.
Now, are those lights on when you enter or is this space lighted from whatever lighting is behind you?
If no light enters and you don't want to install a night light, go lighter. Otherwise-
