A description of “Super Volume Keys” which reads: HDMI devices, DisplayPort audio outputs, and more fail to support the volume keys found on Mac keyboards. SoundSource makes those keys work with any outputs you have.

This sounds like something the Quick Configs feature can handle. Set up your effects with a specific output, and save your first config. Then adjust the output and effects as desired, and save another config. Flip between them with a click.
