Very sad to hear. The way she colored those proto-Vertigo Swamp Thing stories so beautifully is permanently etched in my brain. I’ve often said that the final page of Saga of the Swamp Thing 24 is my all-time favorite page of comic art, and her colors have a lot to do with that.

So sad to share that legendary colorist Tatjana Wood has passed away at the age of 99. Her pioneering painterly touch graced scores of DC & Vertigo series. She was truly one of a kind and a special friend. May her memory be a blessing.

I watched the most recent season of ALONE, and as a redneck 26+ years removed from country living was such an armchair survivalist. OH NO, THE MOOSE JERKY IS HURTING YOUR TEETH, CHAMP? FUCKING BOIL IT AND YOU CAN EAT IT AND DRINK THE BROTH.

And of course I'd tap out on the third day.

I will say that none of my redneck friends cooked them up- we ate everything else, but not iguanas. A friend from Honduras was the one who introduced me to iguana. Usually in a stew.

The fella who cooked them for me called them “the chicken of the trees”

Wait. He's... he's quoting Julia Roberts from PRETTY FUCKING WOMAN???

Now it's even better.

Wonder Man is pretty wonderful.
