It's not about expressing displeasure that's harassment; it's the fact I shared my opinion and people took a screenshot of my tweet and harassed me for it, both on Twitter and now here on Bsky, just for disagreeing.

If the frequency is what you’re concerned with that is at least something I can understand. However a lot of people (in this thread included) seem to have an issue with the voice in general which rubs me the wrong way. And the fact I get harassed for disagreeing is very telling.

“Insistent follow-up questions” when you tell a gay man you don’t know he’s making homophobic jokes? 😭 Maybe think before you post and add something of substance instead of complaining and harassing someone for the sake of some social clout on social media.

It fits, especially for elves, and not everyone is going to sound the same. Not every elf is stoic and hypermasculine. That doesn’t ruin their portrayal nor makes them appear any “weaker”. I think people just have a huge bias.

“Fruity, weak twink” sure is something to say. 🙃 That voice is used for Belf civilians. The guards sound different and embody that stoicism you’re looking for.

But why is one wrong and the other okay? I’m glad we get to hear a variety of voices than the hypermasculine, loud voices we usually hear.
