NICE. Perfect size for travel. B)
Also! Not sure how long you're there for, but some great spots are the Spitting Cave, Pali lookout, Diamond Head, and Waiola for shaved ice.

Yooo!! Which one did you get? π
Oh, that stuff! I exclusively listen to Taylor Swift. My ears are for no one else. How about you?
a tsunami of nostalgia just crashed over me...
halΓ³ !! if you are new to bsky + interested in design, illustration, animation or games development - then hopefully you can (re)connect with artists and devs (from other platforms) through what will be one of many lists !! ΰΌβ

never heard of it
any #indiedevs looking to work with a concept artist (me) on their game, would love to feel part of a team again and make some concept art ( #gameart ) for your games? ΰΌβ
some examples of the type of work I make can be seen below and over at: mattjohnsillustration.com
I'd leap at the chance to live in your sketchbook, A-ha Take On Me style.
halΓ³ little folks trapped inside my PC!! I'm matt johns, I'm a character and environment concept artist from Scotland - the rest of the internet is on fire and algorithms have us all in a choke hold, so I've decided to join all of you wonderful artists/devs by reconnecting here!! ΰΌβ
foresty top down game view dotted with mushrooms, monsters and a spaceship
This was the first area I made for my solo game project. Its all made in Blender with 3D "tiles" that all snap together easily.
Its really fun making these environments since I can just drag and drop stuff until I'm happy with it
(reupload since I accidentally posted a low res version)
Halloween
I never would've imagined that you combined photogrammetry, photography, sculpting, and game assets to create this piece... Feels so cohesive. Such a great breakdown!
An image of a very monochromatic hourglass, with mostly cold, blue hues. The hourglass itself is to the right of the composition, with the top half comprised of a glass/ice skull and the lower half containing a snow covered, with 8 small figures stood in front. The 'sand' pouring from the top half is snow, which is piling up on the roof of the building. The background of the image is dark, cracked ice with the title 'UNTIL DAWN' written on the left of the composition.
Halloween is right around the corner, so I thought I'd share some of the process behind the spooky skull/hourglass key art I created for PS4 version of Supermassive's Until Dawn back in 2015.

I just imagine him getting stage hooked off stage and unraveling in the process π

A 6-legged orange cat-like creature with leaves growing out of its mane and tail. It is bright & glowing against a dark backdrop of shadowy woods. There are fall leaves under its paws, with acorns, dust motes, and a few maple seeds spiraling in the air around it.
At this time of year, when the breeze kicks them up, the light on the leaves makes them glow... when they settle you may glimpse a beast in their wake, its strange tongue bearing whispers and tidings of snow.
Here's ANOTHER monster! This time the original artist was Jackson. For my homage to their amazing drawing, I chose to illustrate the 'next frame' as I saw it.
I originally planned to have hundreds of school kids leaning out of the windows BUT had to abandon that idea as it was, frankly, insane.
what an open-minded fellow...
Thanks Liz!! The concept looked so cool, even though this is the last thing I'd want to happen to me if I suddenly shrunk down to the size of an insect haha...
A large purple-blue coelacanth fish on a black background. Its spots are painted to look like stars, and newborn stars shoot out the tips of its fins.
with an ancient splash it leaps, and sinks; the velvet void is sluiced with starlight π β¨
We finally escaped! BlueSky feels like a true competitor with all the new features, so it seems like it'll actually be a reliable platform, unlike all the others haha...
It's always so funny to compare the block-in stage to where a sculpt lands after some hours of refinement... #zbrush #3d
So great to see you on here Ben! Looking forward to seeing what you create on here :)
Looking awesome man! Excited to see it animated :)
