In the center of the frame is a cluster of dark hydrangea florets, on hairy stems, which despite their size and prickly appearance are the actual reproductive organs of this plant. Like a bullseye in a target, the florets are surrounded by dried, lighter-colored petals. The bullseye analogy is a good one! The beautiful petals have do direct reproductive function; instead they attract pollinators to the much smaller florets, where the real business gets done.

My 'nude' of my wife's chest while sleeping almost 20yrs ago. I was transfixed by the sounds of her sleeping as I quietly scurried about the house doing chores. I stopped immediately at this sight between her breasts & composed. The windowlight was casting perfect shadows, and they're difficult to describe!

A guy was doing #cactus growing and grafting classes at a festival last fall. Was a fun opportunity to bust out the extension tubes. An almost alien outcome at that scale. Always fun to see the worlds that exist right under our noses.

A tree branch became stuck against a rock in the Presumpscot Falls river. It sticks out catching the water and the cold creating as frozen tear as the river flows past.
