Iran war a 'wake-up call' on EU fossil fuel dependency, Harris warns The Finance Minister said there has been ‘not enough’ diversification in how Ireland and Europe sources its energy since the war in Ukraine.

The funny thing is we all know the thing about him just repeating whatever the last person told him was, but right now it’s obvious he has different people trying to explain various possibilities and contingencies and he’s just fucking panicking and scrambling and saying them all at once.
Honestly in a government that's produced nothing but outrage, this has to rank very highly. The kind of thing that ought to see the leadership hounded out of politics forever, even without all the other stuff they've done.
And you have the MIWK
Adam Langleben @adamlangleben X.com After every election in which the left have been in control they develop a stab in the back theory in order to justify their own failure. In 1983 it was Kinnock betraying Tony Benn. Sadly this time, the narrative the left have chosen is that Jews stopped victory. Thats this book. + Adam Langleben @adamlangleben • 3h There is alot in this interview with @ZackPolanski. What is infuriating is his denialism of antisemitism in my party and leaning into crank conspiracy. Let's have a little look back in time:... 12:32 • 10/03/2026 • 1.4K
I don’t think you can keep doing this after the culprits - Labour right MPs and party PRs, mainly - spent a year bragging loudly at respected journalists about all the awesome wrecking they did, and how cunning and effective it was. And those journos then wrote prominent books about what they said.
“Taking to social media to denounce Cuba, Iran, or Venezuela does not lead to freedom and democracy in these countries, but only helps to manufacture consent to destroy them, whether through starvation or by carpet bombing.”
The "STFU about 'lived experience'" script I've left dormant is buzzing for some reason.

Again, the business of British newspapers is in large part just recruiting and exploiting the most bizarre cranks you can find for your horrible, unrelenting reactionary projects. IIRC the one on the right here is the daughter of a Times arts columnist, who is also a committed Gender War wacko.
Would we say that the reactionary centre, the hard right, the Labour Right of old and the Thatcherites have governed in a way that's produced good outcomes? Or are we where we are because of them?
I don't know, we've had basically every other kind of grasp on politics/policy have a go at governing and it's utterly ruined this country. So maybe it's about time someone who was just kind of normal had a go?
Paradox brain has a lot to answer for because these people sincerely believe that if you accumulate enough warscore the AI (brown people) have no choice but to have your demands enforced on them.
Literally exactly the same defence the UK government is using.
Just a coincidence no doubt.
There's a lot of competing pressures that incentivises really bad interventions across the board and I get it because you will get brutalised either by your audience of the algorithm for going off script, but then I just wonder what's the point?
There's a personal frustration I have which is that I'm at a huge disadvantage in terms of just fully doing video game stuff on YouTube because by virtue of having a job/other obligations I can't play games like that and so I'm always "late" to anything.
Every time it comes up I just gotta remind people that it's extremely expensive to license filming in Shibuya, which the team making this game couldn't afford, so they filmed this game by stealing shots and running from the cops.
Oh no the Iranian regime is going to get absolutely roasted on TikTok for going with a nepo baby
Oh my god yes, that is someone who I have a specific irritation with because my ex loved his stuff and I'd have to be like "you do understand this is a really bad way to talk about this media he's supposed to enjoy right?"
I went through my backlog and I'm glad most of my stuff is "this thing is good and I want to talk about how much I like it" with one exception which was me losing it at how over hyped a specific film was by other people on YouTube.
saw this on tumblr and it's literally so true woah
