Cookie update. Posted about his upcoming vet appt & our concerns about getting him in a carrier for the transport. We got lots of great suggestions from you all. Bad video but set up a carrier for him to get used to. Went right in. Feels safe. Baby steps. My what big paws you have Cookie. Hugs π©·
Lol. Yes. Weβre getting rain and snow again π© If the wind died down it wouldnβt stir up everything. Oh well. Mother Nature is making herself known.

Chuckling in complete agreement. Looks awful doesnβt it? I swear you can go through the car wash and by the time you get home itβs in the same condition. April will be here before you know it. Then Christmas. Thatβs how fast time seems to go for me. Lol
Ooo. I love a good Chinese buffet. Sounds π Iβll be watching the race then prepping my stuff for chicken and broccoli tomorrow. Plus a few other odds and ends that need done. Understand about the wind. Weβre under an advisory until Monday. Ugh. Just saps a person.
Happy #FridayThe13th!πΎππΎ
He looks so disappointed π
What do you mean there are no more treats? Just for now or forever? #Caturday
Book Cover: The Correspondent, written by Virginia Evans. This debut novel is a masterpiece. Through all the letters Sybil Van Antwerp writes, we see the layers of her life and heart unfold. I did not want this book to end. But end it did ~ as does life. She lived a full one and her last years were especially rich in all the most important things. This is a must read.
Book Cover Insert: The Correspondent, written by Virginia Evans. βSybil Van Antwerp has throughout her life used lettersto make sense of the world and her place in it. Most mornings, around half past ten, Sybil sits down to write lettersβ to her brother, to her best friend, to the president of the university who will not allow her to audit a class she desperately wants to take, to Joan Didion and Larry McMurtry to tell them what she thinks of their latest books, and to one person to whom she writes often yet never sends the letter. Sybil expects her world to go on as it always hasβa mother, grandmother, wife, divorcΓ©e, distinguished lawyer, she has lived a very full life. But when letters from someone in her past force her to examine one of the most painful periods of her life, she realizes that the letter she has been writing over the years needs to be read and that she cannot move forward until she finds it in her heart to offer forgiveness. Filled with knowledge that comes only from a life fully lived, The Correspondent is a gem of a novel about the power of finding solace in literature and connection with people we might never meet in person. It is about the hubris of youth and the wisdom of old age, and the mistakes and acts of kindness that occur during a lifetime. Sybil Van Antwerp's life of letters might be "a very small thing," but in Virginia Evans's gifted hands we see that "small things" can be subtly masterful and unforgettable.β

What a lovely, lovely book. And what a woman Sybil Van Antwerp is, revealed through her letter writing. A full, messy, complicated and rich life, especially in her golden years, told on letter stationery. The hype about this book is well deserved.

That was a nice treat! I, too, had a day of nothing. Besides usual chore stuff but was a total bum the rest of the day. Very rejuvenating. Hope you enjoyed yours π
Ellie is dreaming of a home all her own, at least one if not a handful of humans to give her daily snuggles, and buckets of treats all to herself!
Why this amazing girl hasn't been adopted yet, the perfect person hasn't seen her yet!
Please help Ellie get seen and share her!
So much love to give! πΎβ€οΈ

I understand that completely! Sad to see. And especially sad for small businesses. Keep the good people around. Theyβre the ones that make the business succeed.
They did the same to the one here. Same people owned it for eons. Then corporate wanted to make changes. They said no and closed it. Corporate built a new one in town. Not doing so well as everyone loved the other owners and the personalized service. What a shame corporate is out all that money π€
A DQ went bad?!? Thatβs just plain wrong!! π‘

Hey guys. Can you help me settle an argument. If my human has a guest over, and the guest uses the bathroom, the polite thing to do is to barge into the bathroom to make sure the guest is safe in there? Right?
The humans think itβs cute, funny, but kinda rude! Thoughts?
