A reminder to the news media: βconflicting accountsβ is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

This is so fucking funny. Followed by several seconds of black screen, mind you.
Iβm sad I missed watching Heated Rivalry with everyone in real time while I was away. This show is currently occupying every crevice of my brain.

I feel like we as a society don't talk enough about the overwhelming trauma of capitalism.
ahh! a small fluffy ghost sits on a hardwood floor staring directly at us. but actually... the longer we take it in, the more cute the ghost becomes. one could even mistake this little guy for a golden retriever puppy wearing a sheet with eye, ear, and mouth holes cut out of it. even though he gave us a fright, we would still pet this ghost puppy.
My goodness. Please donβt send in ghosts. They are very frightening. We only rate dogs. Thank you... 12/10 (IG: theodore.goldenvelt)
Marc Lobliner post on X: "Why the hell are we giving food stamps to 40 million people? Does anyone work anymore?"
SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.
Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:
* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled
* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employedβbut in jobs that pay poverty wages
There are 37 donors funding the $300 million build of the new White House ballroom.
Unsurprisingly, Amazon is on that list. But you know who isnβt? Independent bookstores.
And this is why it will *always* be bookstores over billionaires. β

Bluesky taught me the joy of blocking. I block people everywhere now. I just blocked an ex boyfriend on duolingo. I can't stop.
This may sound extreme but I am getting tired of watching white men dismantle things that are important to me for no clear reason besides that they can

No matter how hard fascists try to suppress the truth, they still can't force reality to conform. Queer, trans, and intersex people will still exist. The climate will still change. Diseases being ignored will still persist. Capitalism will still be unsustainable. And their lies will still be lies.
I really wish people would stop talking about autistic people (like me!) as a βriskβ instead of a neutral and naturally occurring subset of humanity who get born mostly because other autistic people exist in our bloodline.
Itβs really exhausting. Weβre human and β¨can hear you.β¨
Not familiar with the Mets but their gala looks wild
itβs like, i want the country road to take me home and iβd love to be in a place where i belong, but is that really west virginia?

Yeah, idk how it started, but itβs been going on for a few months now. Itβs extremely annoying (and frankly disrespectful)

I locked in for an assignment, but I forgot to turn on Focus Friend. I couldβve had so many socks.
This has been the longest week of my life, and itβs somehow only Wednesday. Send help.
Unsurprising but horrifying. Wherever there are people forced into crowded living conditions, there will be tuberculosis. Wherever people are dehumanized, there will be tuberculosis. prospect.org/health/2025-...
I'm so excited for fall. I can't wait to be sad but with pumpkins.
I just saw this in the newsletter and ran to see if you had posted about it. Congrats!
