I'll probably get an appointment to bring my PC in to Best Buy so they can take a look at it, it's under warranty still. I think. Since I got an extended warranty. It's going to suck, having to wait who knows how long and using an inferior PC. But at least it will be a working PC. I guess.

And really, this fucking makes me angry. My brother got a very nice new powerful gaming PC recently, and here I am stuck with these problems and the potential of having to downgrade. For what, exactly? Man, I swear I've taken these nice things for granted. Holy shit...

Also, I have to deal with hot temperatures outside in the coming days. I don't have a working air conditioner because the outlet that it was plugged in to doesn't work anymore. Things are going to get worse and worse, fast.

Heck, I could continue learning RPG Architect and other creative projects. It wouldn't be so bad. But it would suck having to have a worse gaming PC with a worse GPU. 8GB of VRAM is going to suck if I have to go down to that.

I could live with an inferior gaming PC for a little bit, I would just need to find games that run well but look okay. It would be interesting to see if AMD FSR will work fine with the older GPU so I can squeeze out some performance for some games. I could still draw or do other things on that PC.

But the GPU was always a bottleneck on that past PC, it was an AMD RX 6600 XT or something like that. Not a super old PC, I got it back in 2022 or something. Then I found out that it was not up to snuff to run modern games. Especially with how wildly the optimization has been lately.

I have a backup PC that is reset with nothing on it, it was supposed to be sold by now but it's my only option if this problem gets bad enough that I have to bring this PC in for repairs. If I have to go a long time with a PC I'll have to use the inferior gaming PC. The CPU is good at least.

This PC has had so many problems to begin with, it has always had issues where it will take too long to boot up and the monitor will not display a signal for a bit. But that problem has improved recently, at least. This PC has been nothing but a stressful mess from the start 2 years ago.

One last thing is a virus and malware scan. Then everything will be ruled out.

Okay, SVM is turned back off now in the BIOS.
The problem is now I have to do the nerve wracking and depressing wait to see if the problem happens again. Once my PC starts having problems I view it as basically worthless and a pile of trash. It's not a good feeling to have.

I turned SVM back on because I thought it was the NVIDIA driver being unstable and buggy, but I guess not.

I'll turn SVM off again in the BIOS settings. I don't know if this just more instability caused by virtualization and Hyper Visor.

Okay, the BIOS is updated. I don't know if that will help.

Last option is to update the BIOS. I'll go ahead and flash it to the latest BIOS from the motherboard manufacturer. It's been awhile since I did this, mainly because none of the fixes or additions seemed worthwhile.

If I need a new PC, I'm going to need a lot of money. I could try to start a weight gain drive to quickly get the amount I need. But I rather not have to work so hard on such a thing out of desperation, when I rather be pursuing all these wonderful projects that are making me happy.

The GPU isn't sagging, it is actually a reasonably sized GPU.

Okay, nothing seems to be happening after I did another big practice session with RPG Architect. The previous NVIDIA drivers are installed too. I learned a lot today, I basically did three different tutorials, with the third "tutorial" being me doing stuff on my own.

It seems fine now, I just reinstalled the prior driver that was working just fine. I already did a DDU recently as it is.

Yeah, the timeline matches up perfectly, it has to be the NVIDIA drivers. Unless it isn't. I'm going to try to recreate the problem. I'll turn SVM back on in the BIOS and do the same thing I did before.

I still like DLSS, that requires AI. But holy shit has it gotten THIS bad that drivers are causing Black Screens of Death?
