I want to stress the "seen" part.

Strangely difficult for some reason.

My grandmother could not vote. My mother, who is still alive, could not vote the first part of her adult life until she left Mississippi. Democracy for me but not for thee, I guess.

This is correct. American democracy is younger than I am. I, however, still look good.
