🇺🇬 Jacob Kiplimo returned to the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon (the same course where he first made history in 2021) and broke the half marathon world record AGAIN with 57:20 victory.
He took 10 seconds off the previous record held by Yomif Kejelcha (57:30).
The AIU has announced 2x Olympic 100m medalist, 2022 World champion Fred Kerley has received a two-year ban for whereabouts failures. His suspension sidelines him through August 2027. Any results from Dec. 6, 2024 – Aug. 12, 2025 have been disqualified.
He is set to run in the Enhanced games.

After finishing second in the 800m at last week’s U.S. Indoor Championships, Sean Dolan still needed a qualifying time to make the roster for World Indoors.
Six days later, he gets the time and books his ticket, winning the 800m at the PRTC Indoor Classic in 1:45.41.

Atlanta Track Club has issued a statement on this morning’s USATF Half Marathon Championships, where Jess McClain, Ednah Kurgat, and Emma Grace Hurley were led off course by a lead vehicle. It was an error that cost them automatic selection to September’s World Athletics Road championships.
