Came up a group of white ibises in breeding plumage: dark crimson faces and legs, preening instead of nibbling, generally showing off. Both genders change coloring but I’m willing to bet the beauty high up on the branch is the male.

Pretty sure I’ve heard this pronunciation before, or it doesn’t sound unnatural to me. All my relatives are Baltimoreans of British descent. As soon as I get with them I’m dropping r’s and slurring words with the best of them. Doesn’t this still exist as an accent exposed there?

Sometimes it takes a couple of years for my mind to go from A to B. My tiny 1-1/2” x 1-1/4” c. early 1920s handmade souvenir box is from Old Point Comfort, VA. Obama’s 2023 film Leave The World Behind is drawn from the first slave ship,The White Lion, landing in Point Comfort, VA in 1619.
Now I want one. Hoping my hands still work well enough. Great project.
