I think this has been another factor in as to why the community "feels different" now. There's so much fearmongering that other players are going to report you for ANYTHING and you WILL be punished for it, so you're better off just not communicating at all

Overwatch (maybe) hot take: Some people have done irreparable harm to the community by making everyone think you'll be perma-banned for so much as accidentally breathing in vc. Not saying the reporting system correctly punishes people every time, and CS responds perfectly but like come on...
