Yotsuyu is a major influence in my headcanon lore for Inara. Even the kami Tsukiyomi was meant to bless Inara with her powers of mysticism.

Inara use to idolise her father. Before the Garleans took over her homeland he was a loving and just leader who wanted the children of the tribe to grow up as kids despite the constant conflicts. When her world changed Inara lost everything including the man her father once was.

Inara is extremely affectionate and does what she can to make them happy. Meanwhile Neve seems more aloof. It isn't that Neve doesn't lover her loved one just with her history she keeps herself detached mostly.

She is hoping you'll stay over but the right side of the bed is hers.
