I don’t think Amazon expects to beat Claude at coding. It’s just another tool to bundle for enterprise customers at a discount. Those customers will then force their engineering teams to use it top-down. You don’t need a great product to do that!

There’s little value of only using one model or coding agent. It’s such a new field and the current abstractions are not good (see “skills” vs “slash commands” vs “prompt templates” vs “MCP”). Experiment, experiment, experiment and make use of any free tier under the sun

I don’t trust any “I started using model X and it’s so much better” posts. Once you get used to a model, you are very aware of its limitations, and once you switch, the new model may handle these specific limitations better, but has other limitations that you are not aware of
