At least the apartment has the second bedroom that I always wanted, to turn into my office and studio! So that's a good starting place for sure :D

That said, I might need to take a brief hiatus from voice work while I figure everything out with this new place. I don't have a movable booth, but rather a closet-turned-booth that can't exactly be taken with me :') Good booths are pretty expensive, so I'll have to see when I can afford one!

But this will be so good for me! I've wanted a place of my own for so long and this apartment I managed to land ticks all of my boxes, so I'm sure that once I get over the many changes and get used to it, I'll become incredibly happy there.

It's official; after years of searching and trying, I got myself an apartment! I'm signing the lease next week and then I'll be starting the process of moving out 🙏 Because of my illnesses I've lived with my parents for far longer than intended, so it's pretty scary to take this step forward :')

This society loves to make us feel broken, or infantilize us because of our needs. We’re whole-ass people too, and anyone would be lucky to have us.

An obvious truth that took me YEARS to accept; Being disabled does not make me a charity case, nor undeserving of romantic connection. It’s honestly baffling how long I’ve allowed myself to believe this because of the amount of times people would take pity on partners of disabled folks.
