My parents and I were never churchgoers either, so regardless, I think it was bound to happen that I wasn't going to be religious because we weren't super active in my old faith.

My dad had felt the same for most of his life, but he didn't get involve with helping me deconstruct til I was a teen because he let my mom and grandparents guide me because the latter wanted me baptized.

At first, my mom thought I was going through a phase, but soon she accepted it.

Was baptized + raised Christian, then as a kid watched Simpsons Bible Stories and got curious, so I asked my mom. She briefly told me about Noah's Arc and Jesus. This started to cast my doubt in faith, because I didn't believe they happened. Then as I teen I found out about atheism and became one.
