For this #InternationalWomensDay I’m sharing a symptomatology #embroidery, body map (2016), in which I stitched my #MECFS symptoms freehand over a few months. ME/CFS affects mostly women, and the symptoms are often ignored or not taken seriously because of medical misogyny.

In my utopian vision of the future, instead of offloading all the pointless, annoying work tasks (like reports that none one will read and needlessly opaque forms) to robots, we restructure work and society so that the pointless tasks don't happen at all.

Despite the troubles and horrors, we're also living in the most meet-cute buddy movie ever.
This is a critical difference between reformers and non-reformers. You need to be willing to look leadership and their lawyers in the face and say “No, I’m going to try something else. You can help me or you can get out of my way.”

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.
