Yeah I was totally on board for the first 2 episodes, then they took a weird detour through the Mirror Universe and picked up Mirror Georgiou which I think was supposed to be high camp but was played too straight and didn't work for me. As you said, whiplash! I did enjoy the last 2 seasons though

SFA has the ensemble cast thing, which is a breath of fresh air - feels more like Lower Decks than Discovery, which I think was trying to do a TOS-style central character story that just doesn’t resonate. Trek is about teamwork and helping each other, not individual heroics!

The GOP won despite (or because of) the base constantly tearing down all of their own politicians except Trump. The resulting lockstep conformity may not have the exact ideological outcome they all want. but there’s something for everyone and no denying it’s effective.
