MH Wilds Lagiacrus, Arkveld, Ajarakan and Nu Udra references have been added to the folder π
I'm also planning to make Seikret refs, as well as updating Seregios with its new model. Any other monsters (not necessarily from Wilds) that I should consider?

I've been getting back into comics while I wait for more info from my concept job, and I thought I'd make a post about something very important to me, which is COMIC PANEL VARIATION and HOW TO THINK ABOUT IT.
I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.
And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.
Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.
I work at a preschool for a wide rang of ages and let me tell you, the absolutely amazing stuff kids come up with bare bones materials blows the idiotic "Ai is making creativity more accessible" argument out of the water. Support from others makes creativity more accessible, not whatever Ai shills
"rich dipshit owner doesn't understand the industry he's bought into and clumsily destroys what made it good" feels less like a narrative unique to the washington post and more like the music that's been playing in the background of all our lives for at least 40 years
a red and pink cross stitch on blue fabric. "everything I love causes carpal tunnel" surrounded by hearts, a needle and thread, and a skein of embroidery floss.
relevant to many of yalls interests.
It always feels like all the wrong people die, but I think itβs because there are far more beloved people than there are bastards.
Working on my silly Monster Hunter fan comic:
First chapter: 30 pages story boarded (including cover and disclaimer page)
Second chapter: Not even 1/3 through and at 25 pages story boarded and way too many script pages left.
Third Chapter: my notes app is crying
Congrats! Well deserved
I stopped using sticker mule absolute ages ago because of the ownerβs bullshit. The owner is still on his bullshit, so if you use sticker mule, maybe donβt. StickerAPP is a good alternative, and also thereβs most likely a local sticker printer near you (Sticker Ninja in Portland, for example).
RT if you've never had a tab of ChatGPT open, because falling into the Wikipedia/Google rabbit hole while researching IS the fun part π€
The side view of the pukei in a black bacground I didn't show it in the vid I did of this dude, but the tail can be spin lol
The belly of the pukei, same black background. It was kind of a challenge to do this lad, I had to make the head two times. I ended making the yian kut-ku with the unused head of this pukei
The front of the pukei being holded by me. I also took some time to find the correct buttons, I was going to make them with felt cause I wasn't finding the correct size, until my mom showed me a pair of buttons she had. I was going to paint them, but I liked the color, so I left them as they where
The back of the pukei, now on the ground of my apartment. The feathers were made with felt
Clean pics of the needle felted pukei-pukei pendant.
I did this little guy for a merch trade with @snappakappa.bsky.social
I'll be shipping this lad soon!

Happy New Years and to second favorite #MonsterHunter monster!
Stained Glass Kirin to celebate!
Underrated point of discussion with the AI + social media uproar is giving thanks to patrons of the arts, especially non-artists, who are willing to put in the effort to support artists at a time when it has never been easier or more normalized to do the opposite.
Graphic saying 'The democratization of art does not come from a billionaire's machine' with a pencil centred in the middle over the text
Sitting a stewing in frustration isn't nearly as cathartic as just designing a poster. Let's see how often I remember that in 2026.
Welcome back Artist(s?)!!!
Quote with an old piece you still like:
A monster hunter meme painting I still love. It's just so silly.
Drawing comics is like (starts the next page) OHH GOOODDDDD I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRAW THISSSSS (draws it anyway)
I cannot stress enough that most ppl don't ever even think about calling their reps. I talk to ppl in my fam about it and they go "Huh? What?". But your reps work for YOU. They need to know what you actually care about. When we call in big numbers it ALERTS them, cuz they rarely hear from us.
This is a very divided vote. It means we've been encouraging dissent. It now goes to the full committee. Please keep calling and urging your reps to reject it
Important PSA for anyone who uses YouTube.
If you are sick of being flooded with AI slop channels, drama or reactionary slop or any other kind of unpleasant crap you wish YouTube would stop recommending, there is a YouTube channel Blocker extension available for Firefox and Chrome.
I love paying human artists and I hate gen AI π©΅
I'm not here to fight about whether or not AI is ethical (I've made my decision and I doubt I'm gonna change yours.) I'm just here to talk about what I and many other artists have been dealing with as we adjust to a new media landscape.
Meme: a quirky hand-drawn cat beneath the script "AHEM - please don't give billionaires more of your money this holiday season - buy something cool and handmade from some fun weirdo instead & help them eat. Love this so much. π
infographic about the Paleontological Research institution. 94 years of research here. One of the 10 largest fossil collections in the USA, with 7 million specimens. 1.2 million users of their online content annually, 30,000 in person visitors 1,500 teachers use PRI for continuing education each year link to donate: https://www.priweb.org/donate
infographic explaining that PRI needs to raise 1 million dollars by December 31st to pay off their mortgage, be free of that debt and continue future operations. They have already raised 2.1 million of the 3.1 million needed to pay this unexpected expense due to a major donor being unable to fulfill a long-term pledge
Well it seems it is going to be to late for @lastweektonight.com to help with their hiatus. Any suggestions for a big sci com/science interested news account I should play with to help save PRI?
Tag them in the comments with your pitch for why they should help out this museum maybe
