How do we continue to reduce violence here in Chicago, at much faster rates than most other cities?
By focusing on street outreach, life coaching, education, trauma therapy and employment.
The road is long, complicated and never straight, but the rewards are extraordinary.

What seemed like a lifetime, I finally remembered he was at his son’s graduation and he finally spotted him. Whew.. 😥

Our state has lost a giant.
Gov. Hunt was a remarkable leader, public servant and statesman. He was a passionate educator who always worked in a bipartisan manner.
He was a hero of mine, and I learned so much not just from his words, but by simply watching him lead.
I will miss him greatly.
