Today brings us The Paladin, he who rules over what was once Embrosi, land of the elves. Having usurped their lands and kingdom, he rules with an iron fist lest any of those tainted by magic seek to rise up against him.

Part of a watercolor painting of a green deer made of twigs and grass.
New painting's all done. Took 3 tries to get it out of my head, since I am severely out of practice with larger pieces (this is 9x22in).

a section from a watercolor painting. Brown and purple roots with a green cloth flowing through them like water.
should be done with this painting today!
It was try *three* (I'm out of practice with larger pieces after a year off).
Just down to the tiny brush now.

Drawing in black ink. A red-crowned crane (a kind of self portrait), stands with one leg raised and its head tucked in its wing. A huge, swirling mass of storm clouds rises above it like an oppressive, malignant thought bubble.
I think I've made myself sick with stress. ๐
Older drawing from 2017.

Thinking back (we had to take classes before we had confirmation and communion etc), I don't think any of them covered the "scary" ones until like 8th grade, OR, most likely... I just didn't pay attention haha

There are no distractions.
Fascism multitasks.
I say this a lot, because many people think they've "figured out" the strategy.
He's stealing your lunch money, punching your face, starting rumours about you, AND pulling the fire alarm. He's doing all of it. No distractions.

When I was nine, I asked Father Singleton at after school religion class "If Adam and Eve were the first people, what happened to all the cavemen?"
"Oh, they all lived at the same time."
Anyways, that was the start of it. He never said "This is just a story" (which wouldn't have helped either lol)

Digital art of a human sitting alone in the darkness. They are in a kneeling position from a side view, bowing their head down and surrounded by monsters reaching out for them. They appear as varying reptilian-like or aquatic-like forms, with giant mouths much like a shark's with large gums, a gaping mouth hole and rows of razor sharp teeth. They have dark blue skin and red glowing eyes, and all of them are lunging and reaching out with thin stretchy cartoon-like four-fingered hands. The only thing between the grasping hands of fear and doubt is that light the person in the middle emanates. The outside edge of the scene is enveloped in shadow.
We are the light in the darkness ๐ฏ๏ธ #art

Meet Gaulf, the farmboy marked by magic.
Upending everything he thought he knew, he suddenly has a lot more to worry about than asking his crush to the festival dance, or dealing with the Mayor's spoiled son.
Come read about Gaulf and his magic-marked adventures in The Backwards Knight, #booksky!

Hades and Persephone are tinted, lightened, cleaned up, and printed out on 12x16 Sanders Waterford 140lb hot press paper. (note this method only works with a printer that uses pigment-based inks, as pigment based ink is fully waterproof. Dye based inks will unfortunately bleed when wet ๐ญ).

Sketchbook doodle of a curled up bunny in what looks to be a big frilly flower.
information image with two small prints. one is a pint painting of a raven flying through brambles. The other is a calm owl woman. There's also a tiny possum sticker that's available at The Earth tier on month three. Prints go out on the earth tier as well.
Oookay, completely forgot it was the start of the month, and it's march. Which means rabbits! Sketch spots are full at the moment, but I've got an every day original at the end of the month
If you like my stuff, like seeing what makes it or doesn't, come hang out for a bit!

A 1944 map by geologist Harold Fisk charts a 40-mile stretch of the Mississippi River from Friars Point to Gunnison, Mississippi.
