Opinion: When scientific funding dries up, so does our workforce
When I tell people abroad that I’m from St. Louis, the first thing they often mention isn’t baseball or the Gateway Arch. It’s plants.
Just published an op-ed I wrote about what happens when science education funding disappears—not in theory, but in real life.
This one is personal. I’m a scientist, an educator, and a mom of three. I believe we can do better—but only if we fight for it.
