I am so tired. I want nothing more than to sleep.

And yet. It's now 2:30am, despite being exhausted beyond words, I can't fucking switch off and sleep. Even though I have to be up in 5 hours.

I can't keep functioning like this. 😭

Today I woke up at 5:45am for work. Staff sickness meant I was the only vet in the building from 1pm despite an overly full ops list. I worked 12h with just 15 mins to inhale lunch in the middle, leaving 2h late due to emergencies.

I climb into bed at a reasonable time. I am physically exhausted. Falling asleep should be easy.

And yet my brain does zoomies which keeps me from falling asleep til 2, 3, 4am... sometimes later. And then I have to cope at work on f- all sleep.

This happens way too often and I fucking hate it. 😩

Fucking hell, didn't realise you'd seen that many docs so far. I'd be moving GP practice at this point. FWIW you can buy Omeprazole over the counter without a prescription, if that's what's keeping you stable in the meantime.

My heart goes out to you, I would never let my patients suffer like this

At what point do you turn up at A&E and say "I need urgent treatment and my GP is refusing to help?"

Other options would be:
- Request a second opinion from a different GP
- Complain to the practice manager
- Change GP practice

That fucking sucks though, I'm sorry, you don't deserve this. :(
